We were so excited to get to be in Utah for the 4th of July! We got in July 2nd and got to celebrate my Mom's birthday with her. Then on the 4th, I finally participated in Provo's Freedom Run. For years I have sat back and watched pretty much all of my friends run in it and decided that I wanted to join in the fun. Thankfully Marissa and Jason, Jaime and their kiddos all decided to join me so I didn't have to run it by myself.

The gang, poor Senea hurt her foot the day before so she got to be pushed in a jogging stroller. It was so fun to run this race through my home town. Ironically though even though it was my home, Jason was the one everybody knew. Countless times throughout the course people were yelling at Principal Theler. He was quite the celebrity. It definitely made me appreciate him and made me realize how awesome he is at his job and how many people he has met throughout his career.
After the race, Marissa and I met up with Jared, Jack, my Dad, the kiddos and James and Elise. I love the freedom parade even though it is so crazy with a billion people I still have such great memories of watching it and being in it growing up!

The day before I accidentally dropped my camera in my parents ditch. All of my photos were washed out and sort of blurry like this for a few days!! Sad!
We didn't stay for all of the parade just enough teach the kids what a parade is and see some fun floats.

It was a very busy but very fun 4th of July. We are so grateful for the men and women who gave their lives so we could have our freedom and enjoy this great nation!
This weekend also was the boys weekend for Jared and his Bro's. One day they went shooting so I joined in the fun. I can't pass up a shooting day!

It was a blast. My shooting was off but it was still a great day!
A couple of days later we all met at Jason and Jaime's house and did some big fireworks. It was fun and also a bit cold, something we definitely are not used to!
