Swimming lessons and Big Boy Beds!

The kids started swim lessons at the beginning of May. A friend of ours neighbor Angie teaches at their neighborhood pool. I signed both the kids up. Poor McKean's class was in the morning and May was really cold which is very unusual for San Antonio. Every class it was maybe 70 degrees outside and the water was even colder. The poor kids were freezing.
McKean did not love it just because he was cold.
Who can blame him.
But he did learn to kick better and to blow bubbles.
He was a good sport and he was by far the youngest in his class.

Kailie's class was everyday at 4 pm so it was warmer and she loved it. It was with her buddy Boston and some of her old friends from her sunbeam class before the ward split. She really learned a lot those first two weeks of lessons. She advanced a lot. I signed her up again this time with Brinley and Savanna. The other kids in the class were 3 and way behind them in their level so they didn't really advance too much so we signed them up again this time just the the three girls. They really learned a lot and started swimming pretty good.

Last night in his Crib! 2 1/2 Years Old!
We decided to move McKean to a big boy bed to get ready for the new baby. We didn't want to take down the crib so we just put the bed up next to it. He transitioned with out a problem, even with the crib right next to him. Of course it probably helped that he has been climbing out of his crib for the past 6 months so he was used to his freedom and was still good at taking naps.
He is such a sweet little boy. I can't believe how big he is already! He always has to have a book and some toys with him when he sleeps. He goes from toys that make music and sound to his Lego dog, boy and girl to other various toys. He knows what he wants when he goes to bed and he must have it with him and the blanket cannot cover the toys!
So peaceful when he is asleep!
Oh I love those cheeks!!

Gymnastic Preschool!

Kai had her last day of Preschool/gymnastics on Thursday May 29th. I think we were both really sad about it. She has loved going there the past two years and I have loved how they just welcomed her and let her come even though it was inconvenient for them. Plus I am just really sad that she is growing up so fast and will be in all-day kindergarten soon.

Plus she loved being in the same class as this girl and getting to play with her all day. They are best friends and love each other.
They were sad it was there last day too. They love coach Joe and learning gymnastics. I took a photo of Kai and Coach Joe and I cannot find it now. I am so sad but he was a really great coach and did great taking care of Kai and worrying about her!
She had just gotten her insulin pump the Omnipod a couple of weeks before preschool ended and so I showed him how to give her insulin with for snacks. It is so easy and he was able to just give it to her and was willing to do it! Had she had it for longer I probably would have let him do it for her lunch as well and then I wouldn't have had to go in every time at lunch time to give her a shot. She loves the pump, we love the pump. It has been a great tool in helping her!

The next day was their end of the year gymnastics show. They got to show off all that they have been learning. Kailie is obsessed with the bar. A few months ago some of her friends including Brinley learned how to do a pullover. Kai was so upset that she couldn't do it. I told her just to keep practicing and she would get it. Well she kept practicing and finally got it and now she can even do a double pull over.Coach Joe told us she practiced ever chance she got. He said she would have stayed on the bar the whole time if they let her and she frequently would come home with blisters from being on it so much. She definitely is a determined little girl.

Kai Doing her Beam Routine!

Coach Joe's group getting their medals. I took photos of their group as well but they are missing so this is all I have. The little girl between Kai and Brinley is Kaylynn their cute little friend. Those 3 were always together!

Ironically they didn't do the bars in their performance so Coach Joe let her show us afterwards all that she can do. She is pretty awesome, so glad she stuck with it and finally got the double pullover. She is amazing!

Jared thought he was recording when Kai did her floor routine but he wasn't so after it was over we had her do it one more time for us! She is so adorable and I love that she loves it!!
Way to go Kai Kai!

Last Music Class!

I took on the responsibility of being in charge of music class this year. It was fun, sometimes stressful to find volunteers but my kids love it and I wanted to continue the tradition. Kean is just getting to where he really wants to participate. It is so cute and of course Kailie loves it!
Singing the World out side my window is the world of Color I see song!
The puppet La la la song!

Our good friend Stacie and her son Beckham doing their songs!
So sad that next year Kailie, Brinley, Boston, Kylie Reeve, Camy will all be gone to kindergarten. They have been doing this class together now for 3 years. Oh it breaks my heart how fast they have all grown up!

Kailie is so obsessed with Baby Bradley. She keeps telling me how when our baby comes she will take care of it while I cook dinner. She is such a sweetheart a great helper and so fun!

Marching time!
After music class we usually go to the park and play. The kids love it since it is really the only time we ever go to the park!
Beckham, Parker, Madi and McKean all playing together! Oh I love them all!

Camping at Canyon Lake!

We planned a camping trip up to Canyon Lake. After our horribly hot experience last September we decided to rent cabins and sleep in them. The Kecks and Megan and Steve Serra came with us. We got up there early in the evening. While we were eating dinner the kids were all sitting at their own table and they all were like "what is that, it is huge" None of the adults could see what they were pointing at and just kind of blew them off well then they started being so crazy about and Andrea looks over and says yea we are in nature there is big stuff in nature and then she see this huge thing move. Turns out it was this HUGE spider. By the time we noticed it it was right by all the kids and it was a fast little sucker. Super crazy!! Justin was able to catch it somehow and but man it was freaky. Jared took it down way far away from us and let it go. That is a big cup and it is bigger than it!!
Needless to say we were all a little on edge the rest of the night!
 Oh Creepy!

It was actually a really nice night. Not too hot, we went swimming down at the lake and then came back and did a small fire.
The kids all help Daddy collect wood for the fire!

The 3 buddies all playing together. Oh they were such all cute friends.
McKean, Parker and Madi
Goofy kids!

Time for roasting some S'mores!
Kean has just been having some energy testing done on him. He has a rash on his bum that was not getting better so our friend Rachael was working on him and found out it was corn that was causing it. So he wasn't supposed to eat any corn, corn flour, corn syrup, etc or be within 11 ft of it. Corn is in pretty much everything so I was worried about this night but thankfully he loved roasting the marshmellows but didn't really care to eat them. He just enjoyed the chocolate.
We got the package of glow necklaces and the kids had fun twirling them and kept wanting me to take their photo.  This is Brinley, Savanna and Kai.

McKean even got the hang of it!

Nice on Kai Kai!
It was nice to sleep in a air conditioned cabin, much better than our last time at canyon lake. The next morning we woke up and headed over to the lake for some fun times on the waverunner and playing at the beach and in the water.
This was our last weekend with the Serra's and we were so sad. They have become such great friends. Oh we hate saying good bye to dear friends but were so grateful to have gotten to know them!

Rain Rain and Ranadom May Fun!

I was watching the Keck kids one day and it start storming pretty good. The storms out here in Texas are crazy and the Keck kids are pretty scared of them. It was pouring with some thunder and lightening. I opened the front door and we stood there watching the rain when out of nowhere was THEE LOUDEST THUNDER I have heard in my life. I completely jumped and I could feel that it even jolted the baby. My body just felt out of whack for a few hours after. The kids were terrified. They all ran to the bean bag and were screaming their heads off. It was funny and sad all at the same time. I totally thought the lightening hit my house. I was seriously searching to make sure it didn't. I saw later on Facebook some friends who live miles away from us post about the loused thunder they have ever heard so it must have been loud everywhere. It was crazy, needless to say I quickly put on a movie and they all cuddle up in blankets on the couch.

Mothers Day!! It was a nice chill day. Jared always tries to make it super special for me, breakfast in bed, a nice dinner. Kailie made me a cute crown at preschool and then made me all these cards of our family. The best gifts I could get!
Love these two and am so grateful to be there Momma!

These two find the silliest things to do. This day after church they decided to eat outside on the bottom of the chairs. I love that they are such good friends and do everything together all day long!

This little boy is always getting dressed up by his big sister but he doesn't seem to mind.
Pretty Princess!
Cute and funny Bumble Bee!

One Saturday it was raining like Crazy. Daddy decided it would be fun to go out and play in it. He made some makeshift rain coats and put their Eater buckets on their heads as hats. So funny!
Kean was sure what to think!

That is one pretty cute rain munchkin!

Kailie was all smiles and thought it was hilarious!
She is our little adventurer!

Once it came time to go outside this little man was to sure about the idea!

Kai took off and actually stayed fairly dry!
Kean decided to stick pretty close to home!

Daddy and Kai Kai headed down to the circle to check out all the water running down there.

I followed in the car brought Kean with me. After watching them play in it he decided he wanted to give it a try.

They walked all the way back home together in the rushing water.

So fun, we love Rain!

The kids both love the I love to see the Temple song. So we wanted to record them both singing. They are so cute. I love their sweet little voices!
