Out with the Long, in with the Old!!
Alright, everybody keeps asking what the big surprise is ......................................................................
........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ well after many long debates I have had with myself and Jared I finally decided to go back to my old hair style!

Okay, so just the cut not the color. I have wanted to chop off my hair since before I got pregnant and I finally decided after seeing my cute sister-in-law Anjuli and my best friend Tiff who both have super cute short hair cuts, I just had to do it.

So here it is right after I cut it, sporting the straight look! Love my eyes and mouth! Classic Gina!
There is that mouth again! Here it is curly, which is how I mostly do it in Hawaii, although I must say I was worried about the humidity but so far I have actually gotten it to go straight out here which I could not do when it was long.I love it!! It is soooo much cooler plus Kai can't grab it anymore!

Blessing Day!

We blessed Kailie last weekend at Jared's parents house in Utah, sadly his parents were out of town but there was a lot of other family members and friends there. The blessing was really beautiful, Jared did a great job even though he cried. Kailie also did a good job even though she cried too but not as much as her daddy!
The classic four generations shot,My dad, me, my Grandma Gardner and Baby Kailie
It was so great to see everyone and to be in the cold, snowy weather that I love and miss so much! Thanks to everyone for coming to celebrate this special occasion with us!
A lot more fun things happened while in Utah which I will post soon and there is a Surprise!

Jared, Kailie and I had a sleepover in our living room so Jack and Carolyn could sleep in our bed, it was fun to sleep out by the tree!
Then it was early to rise not to open presents but to do dawn patrol surfing on the north shore. Which was cut short when Jared broke off the fin and cut up his body on the reef!
Kailie enjoyed her first time at the beach by getting her daily workout of stretchingWednesday, December 24, 2008

Exciting News, Total Surprise!
No, Kailie is not getting a sibling, just in case that is what you were thinking. I don't even think that is possible this fast.
Jared got accepted to do a facial plastics fellowship. Which was a surprise because when he talked to the guy in charge of the fellowships, he told him that facial plastics was low on list. We pretty much planned on not getting it, but I guess it was meant to be.
What this means to us is when we finish here in a year and a half, we will go to a non-military hospital where Jared will train. We are pretty sure that we will go to Portland, L.A. or Seattle then onto wherever the military sends us which could include Hawaii again. We will also owe the military 6 years instead of 4. Jared is really excited, the reason he wants to do facial plastics is because he wants to Humanitarian missions doing cleft palates, so this will be great!
