Summer fun

We had a really fun summer here in San Antonio before we headed home to Utah for July and August. We played outside as much as we could before it got too hot to be out!

We wanted to go camping over memorial day weekend but it turned out to be thunderstorms and flooding so we invited some friends over and did s'mores in our backyard. It was fun and yummy!

Dennis the Menace!

This kid has recently been reminding me of some one but I could never put my finger on it until we picked him up from the Keck's house and he had pooped and got it on his shirt so he was shirtless. I immediately thought of Dennis the Menace. I used to love that show!!

They look pretty similar just a few years younger!

I sure hope he is not as crazy as Dennis the Menace or we are in for a treat with him!!

I think someone loved his freedom of being shirtless.

Happy Father's Day!!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!!!

We kept things pretty low key this year because Daddy wants to get a wave runner so that will be his big gift along with Christmas and his Birthday!! We got him a cute little card, Kai made him a card and gave him a little "If you give a Dad A Cookie" book that was cute.

We did our handprints on his father's day shirt and gave him some root beer since it seems most Dad's all want Beer!!

We had the Keck's over for dinner. I got to hold baby Bradley and he tried to jump out of my hands!!

He is so cute!

I saw this cake on Face book and wanted to try it for Jared since he loves mint ice cream and chocolate. It was all hand made, homemade mint chocolate chip Ice Cream with chocolate cake and andes mints on top. It was pretty good, the ice cream was the best part for sure!!

We had stake conference that day which was sad cause then the Primary kids didn't get to sing a song for their Dads so Kai and I worked on the song she learned last year and she sang it for him. Of course she got all shy for the camera!

We are so grateful to have such a great Daddy. He works hard to take care of us an help those around us. He is a great Daddy. 

The kids favorite things to do with their Daddy is:

Play Monster

Be chased around the house and then thrown on to the couch.

Be "stirred" around (spun)

Read Books, Daddy has been reading some books to Kailie in spanish!

Swinging!

It is starting to get pretty hot here so we only go out side in the late evenings like after 7 and even then it is in the 90's and we get attacked by mosquitos but that is life here. These two love playing outside, Kai would play outside anytime, the heat doesn't stop her but McKean will not go outside when it is hot, he just sits in the house and watches everyone play outside. So at night he loves it. He was not loving his swing for a long time and would cry when we put him in it but now that he can climb into all by himself he loves it!!

Kai loves to push him, sometimes he likes and sometimes he hates it!! This day she decided to stand on the swing and swing him that way.

I think he liked although his face would tell you otherwise!

They love to swing with Mommy and Daddy. This night it was Daddy's turn and they both wanted in on the action!!

McKean also loves to swing on the big swings. That is what really got him liking swings. He loves to swing on his tummy too.
