Hawaii Fun!

Flying to Hawaii was definitely not fun!! It turned out to be about 10 hours of in air flight time then all the lay-overs and getting in in the middle of the night our time was definitely rough!!
This girl makes friends everywhere she goes!!

Our first day there was Sunday, we went to church and then headed back to our hotel room. Later we walked down to the beach to get some dinner and hang out. Kai was so confused why we wouldn't let her go swim!!
Love her cute 4th of July outfit!

Kean enjoying the View!!
We joined up with the Halawa surf group. It was so weird to be there and not really know anyone!!
Kai had fun playing with Jenna and Ellie!

Run fast Kai!!
Love this Beach!!!

Kean trying to play with baby Haley!
And trying to eat everything in site!!
He was not too sure about the sand!

Kai snoozing away!! We had the hardest time figuring out a good bed situation. The beds just seemed so small to Jared and I. I really don't sleep good unless I have room to expand and sprawl out but neither of us wanted to sleep with Kai either cause she is crazy and as you can see sleeps sideways in the bed!
Sibling Love!!
I styled Keaner's hair one day!!

I thought it was pretty cute!!

My little Mohawk buddy!!

Kai thought McKean's crib was a pretty fun toy!! She spent a lot of time playing in there!! I guess when you are stuck in a tiny hotel room for 3 weeks even the normal things become fun toys!!
Pretty girl with pretty flowers!
Feeding McKean some baby oatmeal, Kailie decided that she wanted some too!!
The little fridge was by far this girls favorite thing about the room. She loved being able to go in it and get out anything she wanted!! I think she felt really grown-up.
Picking flowers for her Momma!!
Who doesn't love pretty plumerias!!
Kean fell asleep holding his car seat!! So adorable and uncomfortable!
Kai watching a movie!

Kean chasing his ball, of course!!

He learned how to stand up for the first time on this trip. He would practice in his crib!

He also learned how to sit up by himself while we were there. The problem was he couldn't figure out how to lay back down so he would just fall asleep like this. Poor kid!!
He was such a trooper when it came to naps and going to bed at night. We brought a blue sheet and would cover his crib with it. He would just fall right to sleep, even with us in the room, talking, making noise and even watching t.v..
Pretty amazing!! Thank you little buddy!

Poor Jared had to work  a lot, basically like he was a resident all over again so the kids and I had many dinners by ourselves. We ended up at Dukes a bunch because I love that place!!
This night was really fun!

These two kiddos just make life so fun!! Crazy, busy, some times annoying but mostly just fun!!
Kai loved her spaghetti from this place. \
I made her where McKeans bib since she makes such a mess with it!!

The view is great too!
Kai loving on her baby brother!

Ahh so sweet!
This isn't fun any more Momma!
Save me!!
Big slobbery, wide open mouth kisses!!!
Sorry girls!!
Wiped out!!
She fell dead asleep while watching a show one day!! Slept for quite awhile like this!
Kean taking over Mommy and Daddy's bed!

Needles have always been one of Kai's favorite things to play with. Don't worry she only plays with the inside part. She is smart enough to know not to play with the needle part!!

We met up with the Halawa ward play group again, this time they went to Bellows beach to play! Kai and Jenna played with the boogie boards!
Kean just hung out with Momma!
And played with the sand toys!

And chewed on some yummy tags!

I am not a fan of sand and this sand at Bellows is the worst. It is so fine and gets in and on everything!!

Random photo of the traffic heading up to the North Shore. Definitely one thing that I do not miss about the island!

Naked Babies!!
We were getting ready to leave Waimea bay right at sunset.
The little turd pooped while he was sitting here waiting for a turn to shower!
 Little stinker!

This is my Favorite photo from the whole trip!! She is is adorable and I love the Haliewa Shave Ice sign in the background. I wish it was still .25 cents!
She was not a fan of the shaved ice.
Seriously, this girl is so strange when it comes to treats that most kids love!!
She just wanted ice with no flavoring on it!
Kean not too happy about getting his Jammies on for bed!

Checking out the view from our room. I sure miss those Beautiful mountains!
One of the favorite activities in the hotel room was of course jumping on the beds.
Some times she would get a little too crazy and try to do a flip between the two. Not a good idea, kiddo!

Happy Boy McKean, just enjoying playing with the toys!
He official learned to crawl on this trip, it was cute to watch him scoot around with his right leg up!!

We spent a lot of time at Tripler waiting for Daddy. This hill provided quite a lot of entertainment!
Checking out the surfers!!
We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant a few times!
Kai discovered that she likes McKean's baby oatmeal.
Now that is all she wants to eat!

s
They are famous for the gigantic pancakes.
We tried it out, it was good except for the pineapple. Not a big fan, but the coconut and macadamia nuts were awesome!
Kai eating her breakfast and me eating mine!!
We stopped at Jared's favorite Thai restaurant. It used to be a truck but now they have an actual place. This kid was the owners son and just sort of attached himself to us. It was funny!

Help Mom!!
She is getting me!!
The kids and I swam quite a bit in the hotel pool. Jared only got to a few times. Kai got really good at swimming and could swim all the way from the stairs to the rope by herself!

Little Fish!

It was a little too cold to swim for this little guy. The pool was 13 stories up so it was really windy!!
They had this huge bed/lounge chair to play on!
Our last meal there we went to one of our old favorites. Unfortunately, they closed down the old Sand Bar and Sam Choy's bought it out. Not nearly as good as before!!
Aloha Hawaii!!
It was a fun 3 weeks and you were so kind to us as always!!

We did the overnight flight!!
This two kids crashed. I guess that is what happens after you have 3 fun filled weeks of pretty much nothing but playing!

Kean 10 months

This little guy just turned 10 months last week!!
He is my easy man, who just laughs and smiles all day.
He got his first tooth on Friday July 13th and learned how to sit up all  by himself from his tummy on July 15th all while we were in Hawaii.
He is scooting all over the place. He reminds me of a monkey when he crawls cause he keeps one leg up and just kind of scoots along using his hands and the one leg.
We weighed him July 20th and he weighed just shy of 16 lbs. He is definitely a little guy  but then again have you seen his daddy.

He is just cruising through his first year. I just wish I could freeze time and enjoy these two monkeys at this fun age.

He loves to eat and is starting to eat more table foods. Mostly he just eats the baby food pouches!

Him and his best Buddy Madi and her 1st Birthday. He got her crayons, straws, balloons and a box. Every one year old dream presents!!
These two have so much fun together. Kai loves finally having someone to play with around the house and he is getting much more easy to play with!!

I love this little dude!!!

And I love his big Super Slobbery wide open mouth kisses!!
He loves to sit in his bumbo next to me on the counter while I cook, or do dishes. I love having him there to keep me company!!

Getting serenaded by Daddy!

Kailie loves to "help" her little brother try to stand and walk!!
He is such a sweet little sleeper!

He loves to look at himself in the mirror!! He is such a little smiler!!

He loves to get wrapped up like a little burrito after bath time.
Trying to figure out the whole moving thing!

Balancing with Daddy!

Use your abs little guy!!
Right on the verge of crawling.
s
This kid is super ticklish! So cute!!

Family Fun Night!

Pretty much the only thing to do around here especially since it is so hot is to go to Sea World. We have tried to go to Aquatica which is the waterpark there at least 2 times a week sometimes more. It has been our thing every weekend and Monday nights. It is fun to just spend time as a family doing what we all love, SWIMMING!
This little squirt is in heaven every time we go!!
From going down the slides, riding the waves, relaxing in the lazy river, getting dumped on by the giant bucket or getting tossed by her dad she loves it all!!

She went down this slide at least 30 times in the short time we were there!! Over and over again and sometimes face first which the lifeguard didn't love!!
McKean seems to be fitting right in with his family and loves the water as well.
His hat makes me think of Kai every time I see him wearing it!
Daddy time.
This little guys is totally becoming a Momma's boy so it is good when he gets some quality Daddy time!
Who is eating who here?
Good times by all at Sea World.
Kai has always been a little fish but she was a fish who couldn't swim by herself and I have been really wanting her to learn. Especially after last year when she jumped into her grandparents pool with out anything  on and Jack had to jump in, in his clothes with cell phone and wallet in his pockets to save her.
The past couple of weeks she has been in Swim lessons. They were still the Mommy and Me class which I was bummed about and thought that she wouldn't learn to swim by herself with me in there. She was learning to float better and swim but then she got sick and missed her last couple of lessons.

Last night we went to Sea world for family night and she was playing around with out her life jacket on and we were both just watching her and then she just started swimming. It's like it just clicked and she finally got it. She still can only swim underwater but that is start and she was so excited.

We  went to swim playgroup today and she just wanted to practice swimming the whole time!!
Awesome job little Kai Kai!!
We are so proud of you!

Little Swimmer!

Bath Time!

 Who love's Bath Time.

 Definitely these two!!
They love it and have so much fun together!
Of course this kid just loves anytime he finds stuff to put in his mouth to chew on!!

I just love this little guy so much!
Kailie has actually been wanting to shower more than baths and she wants to shower by herself and wash her hair by herself. Someone is growing up way too fast!!
Of course whenever Kean takes a bath Kailie has to join him!
