Happy Birthday Little one

Kailie turned three today!! It really amazes me how fast time goes by!! These past three years have been pretty amazing and we are so happy to have Kailie in our lives even if sometimes she drives us nuts!! I tired to make her Birthday special since this is the first year that she is more aware of what a Birthday is. She woke up to balloons and our favorite Mickey Mouse Birthday song.

Then it was on to Pancakes and Strawberries.
We plan to have a fun little combined party with her friend Brinley in a few weeks so we just invited the Keck's over for dinner and cake for our own little Family Birthday Party!

I have to say this was the ugliest decorations I have made yet but that is what happens when you are trying to make them late at night, with a newborn and I kept trying to make a skin color which I could never get so I ended up with a ton of yellow and had to use it hence the green and orange. Anyways, if you can't tell it  is a water ski cake. Kai absolutely fell in love with water skiing this year at Powell and has been talking about it and asking to go ever since so it seemed only fitting.

As usual we did wrote our favorite things about her from the past year on the sides:

Too...: She is always saying too hot, too cold, too heavy, etc.

Shampoo- we have a season pass to sea world and Kai calls Shamu Shampoo. She is always asking to go see Shampoo.

Prayer: she just recently started saying prayers completely on her own and gets mad if we try to help her. It is really cute. She prays for some funny things and all of it is thank yous, she hasn't quite grasped the concept of praying to ask for things. Some funny things she is thankful for in all of her prayers: airplanes, papa and nana in china, putchee(my parents dog), Teana, aunt Rachel, Brinley, Savanna, Justin, Andrea,  the prophet, nursery, church, friends. She is so cute! Instead of saying thank you for she says thank you on!

Sing: she loves to sing and sings most of the day. Some are real songs and some that she just makes up. Her favorite songs to sing are The wheels on the Bus, Aloha Oe, Sunbeam, Rainbow round me,We are a happy family(which she learned entirely from nursery),

Story: Which is Toy Story, definitely her favorite movie of this year!

Momma: She just recently started calling me Momma. Don't know where she learned it but it is super cute!!

Baby and Ruf: have been her two favorite toys this year. For a few months she would not go to bed without them both. Since having McKean, baby which she calls "brown baby" since it is a little brown colored goes with us everywhere.

I see the Temple: We have seen alot of different temples this year. She loves to see them and every time we see one she yells out I See the Temple!

What ya doing: She went through a phase where she asked us over and over again what ya doing?

Friends: She loves here friends and has made many this year. She loves to play with them all!

Bus: AKA the Wheels on the Bus is by far her favorite song and she sings it all day long as well as at night time.

Underwears: We bought her some big girl underwear and I would tell her all the time about how all of her friends where big girl underwear. She always calls it underwears and a few days before her Birthday we actually started potty training her!

Potty: She is just learning to go potty on the potty!!

Butter: She still loves butter and eats straight out of the container!!
Airplane: She loves airplanes and says she is thankful for them in all her prayers.

Brush Hair: She loves to brush hair, which I love!! I think she got the idea from the movie tangled and when she does brush hair she gets out all the brushes and the mirror and then says all pretty!!

Sister: She of course is finally a sister and seems to love being one most of the time!

Toad: is how she says cold. She is the weirdest kid, she always says I'm toad I'm toad while we are eating but when we are outside and it is cold she is totally fine. Silly girl!
Wak: or Rock. She loves to get rocked at night before bed!
Chipmunks: Her new favorite movie!!
Ma more: How she says more. I wonder when she will learn it is just more!
Helper: She is my little helper. She loves to help clean, do the dishes, cook, etc.
Hide and Seek: I taught her this game which she loves even though she doesn't quite understand since she tells me where to hide!!
Hold me: or she says Hold e. She loves to be held!

A few that we missed:
It's Not Woking!!: This is by far her most said phrase and she says whenever she can't do something i.e. put on shoes, clothes, buckles, toys. You name it, we here this phrase about 10 times a day!
What: She says what all day. What momma what!

The birthday girl~!

McKean was super excited to celebrate Kai's birth!!

 Happy Birthday!

Eating a little piece of her self!! Yummy!

Best friends or worst enemies, depends on the moment!

Present time!
She got the 2nd Chipmunk movie and hasn't watched anything but it ever since!

She also got some play pots and food for her kitchen which I thought she would totally use but she hasn't really played with them at all!! Lame!
She got a really cute book from my parents too about how she is an a great big sister. She loves it because it is personalized to her!

Present from Savanna and Brinley and yes she is in her underwears!! She had just started potty training and when ever she would go she would take off her pants so I by the end of the day I just give up and let her run around in just her underwear!

Happy Birthday little girl. It has been so amazing having you in our lives the past three years!!

What a great blog Gina! I love how you do her birthday cakes. It is such a great way to capture the fun things about her from the year. Thanks for posting the video - it makes me feel like we are almost there.
