Lazy Summer Daze!

We have had a crazy busy summer. June we were here in Texas trying to enjoy the heat. July was mostly spent in Hawaii and August we were in Utah so it has been nice to be home and back in a regular schedule. Now I need to catch up on all of our summer fun!! This is our summer back in June!
This summer has been surprisingly cool. Well in the high 90's instead of the 100's if you can count that as cool. So we tried to enjoy the cooler weather and introduced Kailie a few of our favorite summer time activities the slip in slide!

Brinley, Savanna and Kai had a blast.

And of course you can't have a slip n slide day without enjoying some yummy Popsicle's.

We wen to the church playgroup at this really awesome swimming pool. Of course this is the only picture I took but it is pretty awesome. McKean got so worn out swimming he fell asleep sitting up.
That pool was amazing and a total lifesaver this summer.

We had friends over for BBQ's. The kids all got to eat outside.

Kailie discovered the fun of tower making and we spent hours making all sorts of them.

There was also the crappy weeks Kai spent being sick. That was not fun! This shot was taken at some point in the middle of the night. When she got home from the hospital for the first week she would wake up every night saying her tummy hurt and so we would go plop her in the game room turn on a movie and let her snack on crackers and cheese. Poor thing!
We spent quite a few days at a place called Mini Town here that is like a small version real life.
Kai loves the grocery store, and the hair salon the best.

McKean and his buddy Beckam enjoyed just sitting around.

Kylie, Kai and Brinley all playing in the little baby section.
Silly girls.

We hung out a lot at the Keck's house. Jared teaching Mckean the art of music.
Daddy was out of town a bunch so I put Kai to work and made her take care of the Baby!
Oh wouldn't that be nice!

Kailie kept bugging me on day about getting some Rapunzel hair like her  friend Savanna has. Well Savannah's "hair" is just a really long red scarf, so I got out my longest scarf and Kailie has been pretending to be Rapunzel ever since and is constantly asking me to come climb up her hair and of course you have to say Rapunzel let down your hair!
Of course these two had fun together as well.
We started a sticker chart for Kai, she gets a sticker when she does good stuff, washes her hands with out fighting us, cleans up, is nice to her friends, etc.  It seems to be pretty effective, now if i could just remember to use it more often.
Some of our other daily activities
-The monster comes-Kailie loves to pretend to be a monster and come and "Get" McKean and I.
- We do our little excercise where I lift them up in the air on my legs
- Hide in seek, is always a favorite although Kai hasn't really quite gotten the concept and she always hides in the same place. Either under a blanket somewhere, in closets or behind the couch.
-Tickle tickle and more tickle. Kai always wants to play tickle time with us or as she has been calling it "Fight together"
-Puzzels puzzles, we did lots of puzzels.

And of course no summer would be complete with out playing on the tramp.

Especially one that has a sprinkler underneath. Oh that brings back the memories.

I loved that you called it a tramp. That is what we called it growing up. I think half my childhood was spent on a trampoline... and of course I love it with the sprinkler under it too. Cool in the 90s? Gina, you'll be in trouble if you ever come visit us! I don't think it ever hits the 90s! Cooling down is like the 30s to us!
