Bats, trees, teeth and sunsets

One Saturday we decided to head up to our favorite city Austin and hang out for the day!  We have never seen the "Bats" that come out under the Congress street bridge and had wanted to see them. We played at the park, ate some yummy dinner, got a cupcake from a food truck and then headed down to the bride to watch the bats.
We got there pretty early so we had to wait for awhile. There was so many people there. It was a little chilly so Kai wrapped up in her blanket!
Kean and Daddy cuddled to stay warm!
Watching the kayakers and boats that were waiting for the bats to emerge!
Beautiful Austin!

Here they come. There was so many. Sometimes they come out all at once but this time it was just a steady stream of thousands of bats coming out for a good 20-30 minutes!

Watching the Bats with Daddy!
Daddy has been wanting to plant a tree in our front yard forever so he finally bought one and planted it!

The kids love helping Daddy with projects!
Kai's coach and gymnastics braided her hair all cool so she wanted me to take a photo. Too bad Mommy is not a more talented braider!

Kai's tooth was super loose, so Dad tried to yank it out. It didn't work so well and she was left with a tooth that was super sore. She was excited to have a loose tooth but she didn't love it when it was super wiggly and annoying!

Dusk is my favorite time to be outside so we are trying to enjoy every evening while we can before Kai starts school and has to go to bed early. Kai is getting really good at jump rope she can go up to 20-30 times in a row!

This kid loves to play with balls, bats and Frisbee.
He is all boy!!  And is quite good at all of them!
