Theler Christmas

Sunday we celebrated Christmas with all of the Theler family!
It is always fun and crazy when everyone gets together!
Kai with her aunt Jaime!
Playing with Joel and Anj!
I think she loves her Aunt!

Jason and Jaime just chilling
Not happy that Sophie tried to take her water!!

She definitely loves Nana!
Opening her present from cousin McKayla
The perfect present, a purse set.
She loved it right away and still plays with it all the time

In order to keep the purse on her shoulder she walks around with her arm in the air!
Opening a cute new outfit from Grandma and Grandpa
There is no photos of me because I was busy taking photos and playing with my new present a 50mm fixed lens. I love it but am still trying to figure out how to use it. Here is the perfect example of why the new lens is great. The above photo of James was taken with a flash and the below photo was not. It lets in so much more light that you can take photos in dim light and not have to use a flash! So awesome!

The new mom to be Marissa!
Glowing!
Cousins being silly!
Lexie and Kai played for hours with her new purse set!
Lex giving Kai  a few make-up pointers!!

The whole evening was really nice and fun to just hang out and open some fun gifts. Jared gave me the greatest present. A book he made of our time in Hawaii. It was so great and took him A LONG time. I love it and need to take a picture of it! I got Jared the Virbam 5 finger running shoes, the ones that have the toes in them. He wants to run a marathon this year so I thought these would help him. This was our first time to spend Christmas with our families. It was really nice!

Christmas Eve and Christmas day!

Christmas Eve was crazy for us. We woke up at 4 in the morning so we could drive two hours to Buffalo to catch our 8 am flight. By the time we got to Utah we were all exhausted and felt as though we had done the redeye. Man I thought those days were over.
We spent Christmas Eve at Jared's parents house. Here is Kailie and Papa Theler getting warm by the fire.
Later Joel and Anjuli and James and Marissa came by. Kailie had a blast playing with Lexi and Sophie.
Cuddle time with Aunt Anjuli
Reading books with Cousin Lexi
Grandma Carolyn got all the girls matching pajama's.
They are all so stinking cute!!
Playing with Aunt Marissa. Notice the PJ change. She got these from us to wear on Christmas Morning. Yea they are bit too small so she was showing some tummy!!
Christmas morning!

The classic Kailie with her stocking that she once not to long ago fit in. My how they grow so fast and so big!!

Not the best shot of me but the only family photo we have on Christmas day.
Posing with Grandma and Grandpa Theler.

We opened a few presents at the Theler's and then we headed down to my parents to spend the day!
Saying hi to Grammy! Almost wearing matching sweaters!

Kailie appointed herself to be the offcial deliverer of the presents. She sure knew what to do by this time since this was now her third day of opening presents.

One of Kai's favorite activities was pushing grammy to the bathroom and back. Such a big helper.

The button game. Any one who knew my dad growing up knows the button game. This was Kai's first time playing it and I think she is hooked!

My Aunt Judy and Uncle JR came down for Christmas Dinner and the weekend. It was fun to spend time with them. I love all of my aunts and uncles.
Christmas day was simple and all about spending time with Family. In the afternoon, we stopped over at a different Aunt and Uncles house and all there kids and grandkids were there, it was so fun to see them all. I miss seeing my cousins all the time. Growing up we were always together whether it was at family christmas parties, or summer bbq's or my favorite Lake Powell we were always all together. I miss those days!!
Sunday we went to church with my dad which is always fun to go back to my home ward and see everybody. Kailie got to wear her Christmas dress again!
Kai and Aunt Judy had matching outfits!

Christmas was really great this year. Just simple and all about family. Although I must say that both Jared and I really missed our Hawaii tradition of going to the beach on Christmas day!!

Growth Comparison

Kailie 3 weeks old- Dec 2008
Since we don't have a wall that we can chart Kai's growth on we just use random things like stockings and roller skating Santa's!

Martin Luther weekend

It has been a tough few weeks for us but we have managed to have some fun as well. This particular day we wanted to build a snowman but Jared said the snow wasn't good for building snowman and I was like "What, I have never seen snow that you can't build a snowman with" but now I can say that I have. You really can't build a snowman with this snow it just won't stick together. We did manage to make a two tiered snowball man!
The never ending shoveling of snow and all we shovel is this little porch area. It seriously snows everyday here. In fact, I need to shovel the porch again right now.
Good thing we rarely get visitors!
Kaile loves to help shovel the snow.
On Martin Luther Kind day we decided to go sledding and invited all of our friends to come. Well it ended up being only us since the temp was like 3 degrees everyone backed out. Turns out is was a prefect day to go sledding. The sun was shining and most importantly there was no wind. We were all warm even the Kaister and at times Jared and I were too warm!
We had a great time. Kailie spent the majority of her time just laying on the sled like this. It was hilarious, she didn't move or speak she just layed!!
This is kind of far away but totally funny!! I wish I would have gotten a closer one but my camera card got full and I was too lazy to erase stuff. So this is what we have!

We actually did so some sledding!! Here is the proof!
