We had the privilege of spending a week in Boston back in September while Jared had a work conference there. He did a lot of learning and Kailie and I did a lot of exploring and learning ourselves.

I think that Boston is officially my new favorite city! It is beautiful and has so much history. 

It is a big city but it has a small town feel about it.  

Since  I have so much for this post I will break it into three sections 1-Us just chilling in Boston, 2-toursity things 3-History of Boston

The lamps are on all the time!

We did alot of subway riding and although Boston's System is nice, riding the subway with a stroller is a pain in the butt. First and fore most it takes way longer because you have to find an elevator which is usually not anywhere close by or you have to carry the thing up all the stairs. I must say that women won out on this trip for being the most helpful. Most the of the people who offered to help me carry it up the stairs were women only a few times did a man offer. Whatever happen to being a gentleman!!

And sometimes this is how it was and believe me it is not easy to get a stroller on or off in this kind of crowd. 

We met up with all of our military friends for  dinner a few times. It was so fun to see them all again. Kelly, Eric and Jessica Peck.

It was especially great to see our good friend Jon Robitschek. He came over from Germany and it was great to meet up with him and catch up!

From Twenty to Thirty!!

Twentieth Birthday Utah State University!

I was kind of sad to turn thirty! Not so much because I was getting older but more because I loved my twenties. They were so much fun and now I am officially an adult. When you are in your twenties you are still a young adult and can still be silly and crazy cause your not fully adult but now I feel as though I have to be an adult. 

I guess that is what Growing up is all about!

Just Say Yes!

Kailie has a bunch of words she can say although she rarely actually uses them. Jared of course is all concerned, I just think she'll talk when she wants to until then it is cute to hear her little voice say her words. Lately she won't say Yes. Once she learned to nod her head for yes she gave up actually saying it. We can't even trick her into saying it.




While I was uploading this video, Kai was watching it on the computer over and over again. It was so funny so here is a video of her watching herself and she does the same thing. Nods her head! I am not speaking that is the sound from the first video. So cute!!

By the way does anybody know how to upload vidoes on to blogger that are bigger than 100mb. It seems all of mine are even if they are short are too big for blogger to upload. It is a pain to have to upload to you tube and then bring it here. Help!!

Doctor VS. Handy Man

Aren't Doctors and Handymen pretty similar. I mean there main objective is to take things apart and put them back together right!

Well I don't know about you but I would definitely hesitate before I let this Handyman operate on me!

Hold onto your rocker!! It's gonna be a bumpy ride!!




P.S. Jared really is a good surgeon or so I have been told, so don't be too afraid if he has to operate on you, but if your nose ends up on your forehead don't say I didn't warn you!

Warning: When Rollerblading in New York......

Be sure to keep your mouth closed and your eyes shut!!

Why: because the bugs are CRAZY out here. We were covered by the end, these pictures do not do it justice and believe me it is not easy to rollerblade with your eyes closed!! Next time we will have to bring goggles!

Besides the bugs this place ain't too bad! Jared made it sound like it was a total hole and would be totally depressing to live here but I have enjoyed it. We definitely miss our friends but we are making the most of it. One of my favorite things here is this awesome running, biking, rollerblading path that goes along Onodaga Lake. It is really pretty and is 10 miles total so you could go for a long time plus there are lots of people out so that is fun.

At the beginning of the trail is one of the coolest playgrounds I have seen. It has so much to do. Kailie loves it. We go there 3-4 times a week!

I even have fun playing at this park. It was pretty much dark at this time so there was hardly anyone there but normally the place is packed. I prefer it this way.

Now we just need to find us some good indoor parks for the winter!
