Happy Halloween!

 Carving our scary pumpkins!

Halloween time around here is great! There are so many fun things to do with families!
We went to the " Enchanted Forest" which was ton of awesomely carved pumpkins lining trails deep in the dark woods. It was fun and really dark which made it easy to lose each other!

Checking out the giant pumpkin!

This is the only hat Kai has right now and it is a little big so the poor girl couldn't really see anything all night!
My dear friends Sadie and Cory and their cute little guy came out to visit us for awhile. It was so great to have them here!
Getting ready to go the ward Trunk or Treat! Yep we are boring and did the same costumes as last year. This the turtle actually fit Kai and Jared's surfboard hat literally broke right after this picture.

Sadie and Cory and Issak as Shabby, Daphene and the ghost!!
Isn't the sunset in the back incredible!
The two cuties driving to the church! They had so much fun together!
Best buds and best enemies all at the same time!!
Kai insisted on seating in the pink car seat the whole time.
She must be a girl or just really likes sitting by the window!
 Trick or Treat!
Kai really had no idea what was going on but she went around to all the cars and got her loot!
I love her little bag, so perfect for a little toddler!
She filled it up twice but I emptied it once and then Jared gave away all that candy.
She'll never know!
Jared had a blast scaring all the kids as they tried to get the candy out of the bowl!
 Checking out the loot!
Reese's definitely one of her favorites!
 Enjoying her sucker!
Let's just say that her numbers were very high when we got home!!
I guess that will happen every Halloween!
Ready for church!
I thought she should be a little festive!
Leggins are the best!

Photo Shoot on a Whim

There is this really Beautiful old cemetery that we drive past a lot. I have been dying to take photos there because the trees are so awesome all around it. Well today it wasn't raining and we were out running errands and I happened to have my camera with me so we stopped for some fun in the Leaves.
I have decided that it is really hard to do a real photo shoot with a toddler by yourself. I could have got some way awesome shots of the leaves falling and Kai playing but I just couldn't do it all and make her smile and get the photo all at the same time. Her face is Hilarious in the above photo.
It is so amazing how sensitive cameras are. I was using the manual setting but I kept forgetting to check the setting before each shot so some were dark like this and others were way to bright like below!

The little monster would not look at me and smile except when she was running towards me so I guess you take what you can get!!
Notice her duct taped hand. She hurt her hand pretty bad and kept pulling off all the bandages we would wrap it in so Jared got serious this morning and put duct tape over the bandage.

Is is bad that we took this at a cemetery? It was so beautiful and perfectly fitting for Halloween!
I hope I get a good day before all the leaves are gone when Jared can come help. Then we  can take some better ones!
These are pretty cute too!

Erie Water Park

We left Niagara Falls Sunday afternoon and drove 1 1/2 hours to Erie, Pennsylvania!
Kai has definitely become the little road tripper lately. I must say that car seats look so uncomfortable. Couldn't they just recline a little bit so the poor kids don't kink their neck when they sleep. Here Kai decided to read USA Today to pass the time away.
Kailie's favorite travel position! She would choose this over a stroller any day!
The kiddie area. 3 slides plus a ton more and the water was warm.
The next morning we woke up bright and early and headed off to a fun indoor waterpark. We basically had the thing to ourselves. I was pleasantly surprised how much they had to do and the rides were fun!

Kai instantly loved the slides. Matt and Becky's son was a little more hesistant.
In this video Kailie almost drowns!! Yep!
After that her lifejacket went on!

Once she learned she could float on her back and be okay she loved it. One time she floated pass the lifeguard and gave him the hugest smile and I swear she was flirting with him. Batting her eyes and all!
So Funny!
Under water shot. Can't you tell how much she loves water.
She even smiles while under the water!
Silly Girl!

Being lazy on the river!

Playing with her two buddies!
Just another cute video of kai going down the "fast" slide. The lifejacket she is wearing was awesome. It was Matt and Becky's and is coastguard approved. It is easier to move in it while also keeping them afloat! I highly recommend  it!
One of the really fun tube rides. This one starts out like a normal enclosed tube ride than spits you out into this bowl where you go around and around until you finally go into the middle whole.
Super Fun!

This was the best ride and one I have never seen before. The first time I went on it I HATED it. You start just going in a normal slide but it is fast and then it shoots you out into this bowl and you go around until you fall into a hole and straight into a pool.
Well, the first time it was very disorienting and I ended up falling into the  hole head first which definitely didn't feel good. I eventually tried it again and once I figured out how to control my landing, I  became hooked and probably rode it at least 10 times!
Jared took a video while going down this ride!
It was my  30th Birthday! Jared was so sweet and pre-ordered this Birthday Cake for me!
It was definitely a great way to spend my 30th with my two favorite people.

The Whole Gang after a fun-filled tiresome day!

On the 3 1/2 drive home we stopped at the Cheesecake Factory for my Birthday dinner.
It was fabulous as always.
I have been craving this cake for over a year now so it was great to finally get it!

The Mighty Niagara!

On Sept 18-20 we were able to go up to Niagara Falls. We met up with Jared's best friend from high school Matt and his wife Becky and there 4 adorable kids. It was great weather which made it a lot more enjoyable. Friday night as we were driving up there, I realized that we had not registered our car and it expired in August. The bummer is we were going to just register in Hawaii again so we could keep the plates and not have to hastle with communist New York. Then we realize that we had nothing in the car as far as the old registration, insurance, safety, none of it. When we shipped it from Hawaii we had to remove it all and I guess we just forgot to put it back. Here we are about to have to cross the Canadian border in an unregistered car with no proof at all that it belongs to us. Thankfully they never asked for anything.
On Saturday we did the Maid of the Mist!
When we were walking to the maid of the Mist it turned VERY cold and really windy so I wrapped Kai  in my jacket while Jared ran back to get more clothes!

Waiting in line for the boat! Such a cute picture.
Right as I was taking this pic Kai fell face first into the pavement. Poor girl!
She is always falling!
The American Falls
Horseshoe or Canadian Falls. These are huge and you can't really see them from the boat because of all the mist hence Maid of the Mist!
We also did the Cave of the Winds which I think was even more fun than the Maid of the Mist! The line was really long though! I am sure it would be really fun in the summer when the weather is Hot so you don't mind getting wet! Our day was in the low 70's so a bit chilly to get wet! The falls directly behind us are called Bridal Veil falls and is the one we will be standing under!
 Matt and Jared!

Jared, Kai and I attempting to go on the hurricane deck or under the falls. Only watch the first 25 secs after that it is just me having not stopped the recording. Still trying to figure out this new camera!

It was a little bit nerve racking to have all this water rushing by super fast and a toddler who loves water! I just kept imagining her falling or jumping in and being swept away.

See how fast the water is moving! Freaky!

After the long day of exploring the falls we headed back to Matt and Becky's hotel to play games, swim and eat! Kai instantly loved their kids especially Isaiah. They hung out all day together!
We stayed on the Canada Side the view from that side is so awesome. Way better than the view from the American side! At night they light up the falls. This is part of horseshoe falls!
Sunday we woke up went to church, then had the worst breakfast of our lives(seriously), then walked around to see the Canadian side to see the falls in the day time. The American falls.
The Canadian Falls.  With the Maid of the Mist
If you have ever seen the original Superman series than you will recognize this part!

This was my last day in the my twenties and it was a great way to end the decade.
That night we drove down to Erie, PA with Matt and Becky to spend Monday at an indoor water park! More of that fun to come!
