The hospital!

Staying in the Hospital is never fun!! They bug you all night long and you never get any sleep. The beds are super uncomfortable and I was tied to an ivy so I was really restricted and couldn't walk around much so we were looking to get out pretty fast. 

Thursday, Jared was going to head home because he had to go into work in the morning for a few hours but I convinced him to stay with me. I just felt like I didn't want to be alone.

Poor guy had to sleep on this tiny little bench of a bed but I was grateful to have him there. 

The next McKean and I just hung out all day at the hospital. It was fun to just have time with him alone and get to know him.

Later that night Jared came back with Kailie. I think she was pretty excited to meet her new little brother. What do you think??

Jared was pretty tired, we both were!

She loved him from the very beginning and just wanted to give him hugs and kisses the whole time. 

She picked out a present for McKean so here she is giving it to him! She was so excited to give it to him. She talked about buying a present for the new baby forever. 

Mckean also got her a present. She was pretty excited about it.

 The released me to go home late Friday night which was great! I knew we would all get more sleep at home than there. Here he is in his going home outfit!

They made me ride in a wheelchair out of the hospital which again I think is funny!! Luckily, the wheelchair was extra big so Kailie could fit on it next to me. 

In the car seat!! Not quite as tiny as Kailie but still pretty small in that big car seat. He obviously was not a fan and cried the whole way home!

 Kailie was excited to sit by him in the car and to show him his new home!

That night we all got at least a little more sleep. For some reason McKean was not to keen on sleeping in his bassinett, he seemed to sleep better sitting up a bit so between Jared and I we spent the night holding him in the recliner. The next night he did much better and has been sleeping like a champ ever since.
